In Pieces....

Pulled apart Satomi again. She's been in dire need of a new paint job.
Left side of the photo has the pieces that still need cleaned and the
right side has the pieces I worked on cleaning today. :)

I'll be working on taking off all the old paint for awhile. Then I'll get to work on
repainting her again. I don't plan on doing a full body blush this time as it wore
off quickly on her joints last time. I'll be giving her mid body a blush job, repaint
her face, and give her back her arm tattoo, as well as adding a few new ones. ^_^

She is also going to be restrung. Her old elastic is worn and not as stretchy as it
once was. So I'll be finding somewhere to order some new strung to fix her up. I'd
also like to try and find some silicone sheets to try sueding her that way. I've
didn't like how quickly the hot glue sueding wore off and the moleskin sueding is
a mess to clean off after it wears out. So, I'm excited about working on my girl
and getting her all freshly put together!

Got some flowers from a friend today and decided to take a little photo shoot. :)

Fish Fingers and Custard....

Being the Whovian I am, I decided it was time to try fish fingers and custard. :) It tasted much better than I thought it would and was an interesting mix of flavors. I do think this will be on my future menu, it made a good lunch!

I completely forgot about this photo I took of Satomi when I went Kansas City to visit some friends. While we were there we made trip to a cemetery and this is a result from that trip.

And a random photo of Satomi!

Snow Photos!!!!

So I went just a little crazy with the photos, but I don't think anyone will mind. And I had a blast taking them! Was quite fun walking through the deep snow and deciding where to put her next.

First was snow angels!

Peace, just 'cause I thought it'd be fun.

Enjoying the flakes as they fall. :)

Snow Day!!!

So I got the day off work 'cause we have about a foot off snow piled here on the ground. And it's still falling! I thought the snow banked on the window looked lovely and took a couple of photos. But it looked bland on it's own, so I got Satomi and used her to add a pop of color. I love the way they turned out. And I think I just might go take a snow shoot outside later!

Clothes for Satomi

So I finally am getting around to updating this blog! Here are some photos of Satomi's casual outfit I made awhile ago. Just took her out one morning and decided to have a little photo shoot. :)

Laid back in the plants.

Just to prove that she really can do it, ONE FOOT!!!

I love how this one turned out! The lighting was perfect and the flowers were the perfect touch!

This is a new outfit I'm working on. It is more what I originally planned for her to wear. Still has a long way to go though! I plan to make a belt of some sort to go with the dress, I'm going to try making her some black leather heels and fingerless gloves. :D

New Hair and Other Such Things.....

So I've been busy and haven't gotten around to posting lately. Sorry for taking so long to get stuff up. I've started school and am looking forward to having my GED. But to get there means lots of homework, so I'm quite busy of late.
I made a new wig for Satomi. The pink one was really fading, it was almost white, which is not what I wanted. So here are some photos of her in her gorgeous red hair! I really like this new wig better. I think it brings out her facial features better than the pink one did.

She looks so cute relaxing in her chair!

I made an African dress for my African- American doll. I am planning to take some photos and put them on here, but at the moment I'm working on styling her hair. Which takes several hours. So perhaps in a few days. :)

Finally.... Some Photos

So I finally figured out how to get photos on the computer. It's a little tedious to get them on, but I was able to work it out.
Here's the photos I promised from my trip to St. Louis...

Had fun making her mimick the statues!

This little waterfall looked so peaceful.

Fun pretending to sword fight!

This one is my favorite!

Went to a Christmas doll meet today and took some photos.
Lots of cute tinies!

Noticed I haven't been here in awhile......

So I thought I'd put up an update. I now have a job as a nanny and get to watch a couple of little girls. Very thankful for my job, was getting tired of being unemployed.
I had a wonderful Thanksgiving, went to St. Lous and visited family. Was nice to spend Thanksgiving surrounded by family. Went to the zoo there, I have to say that was the most awesome penquin exibit I've ever seen!
My doll finally has a name...
Satomi Erina Ohayashi         So glad she finally has a name. During Thanksgiving I took some photos of her with some Japanese items (One of my cousins is part Japanese). Had lots of fun doing that, I'll try to get some photos up soon. But will see how things go.
Right now I'm working on an African dress for my African American doll. Found some pretty fabric at JoAnn and now need to work on the pattern. Been awhile since I've made my own pattern, so that should be fun!

Clothes for my Girl

I finally got around to taking some photos of her in her dress and underpants. I had to adjust the dress when she got here, it was just a little bit to big on the sides. The underpants I made when she got here, used a tutorial on DoA that showed you how to make custom for your doll underpants.
Her hair is a bit messy in the photo of the back of the dress, she kept falling over. I was getting tired of fixing her hair, only to have her fall on her face again!

Doll Workshop

I went to my second doll meet on Saturday and we had a doll workshop going on. It ended up being only the hostess and I who were there. Had lots of fun putting together doll furniture and talking. She helped me with a couple of problems I was having with my doll, so nice to have someone who understands what I'm talking about and be able to help. I made a sofa and she made a tuffet. Wish I would have thought to take photos of her doll on the chair she made, my brain didn't seem to want to work that day. I kept putting things together backwards!

I took some photos of my girl sleeping on her sofa with the new lap blanket I made her. I love how she looks like she conked out on the chair. So loving this girl! Now to decide whether to paint her or name her first.

Box Opening!!!!

So this morning I heard the door bell ring and wondered "Who could that be?", looked
through the peep hole and saw the mailman with a box that looked like the right kind of
box for a littlefee. I thought "Surely not yet?!", opened the door and saw it was from
Denver Doll! I squealed with joy, after I closed the door. :)
Goodies that came with my order, several postcards and a couple of stickers!

The bright pink booklet is the owners manual and the bubble wrapped item
is the sleeping head. The blue box is what she came in.
Squee! Was so excited opening her up, if only she hadn't come with red eyes.
Glad I bought some green ones for my practice head.
                                                           My extra hands!
Sleepy head!
Did this one just for fun!

My beautiful girl after I fixed her foot. Was so glad to have the people at DoA
to help me figure out what to do!
